"Baizball"

We took Harper to his 2nd Astros game. This was quite an adventure considering his slight obsession with balls! We met my parents for a pregame dinner at Irma's Restaurant and then walked to the stadium. When we arrived at the ball park Harper spotted his first"baizball" and it was on! The rest of the night he would say "ball, ball, baizball!" He sat on Addy's lap all night long and watched the game. He loved the music that played before each batter went up to bat. He would clap every time the crowd got excited. It was so fun to see his face light up.

Eggs!

Splash!

I love doing little projects with Harper. Some of which might not be age appropriate...this was definitely one of those! I haven't died Easter Eggs in a long time so I forgot about what a slow process it can be...especially with a 19 month old. All that being said, Harper, Daddy and I dyed Easter eggs. Trust me, it took all of us! Harper loves balls and thought that the "eggs" were balls so natually he THREW the eggs in the cup. Each egg promptly cracked at each drop and then splashed vinegar-water everywhere! He had a lot of fun and Cam and I couldn't stop laughing at the mess we had gotten ourselves into. Pump It Up

Since today was Good Friday Cam didn't have to go into the office. So we planned a family day in The Woodlands. We took Harper to Pump It Up for Pop-in Playtime. We have never been there, but thought Harper would love it after his jump sessions on our bed! We arrived at 10:15, so we just had 45 minutes of playtime. Harper was a little hesitant at first. Cam and I forgot socks so Harper was forced into going in the bounce house by himself. He started to cry, so we immediately got in there with him, sans socks. oops!
Once he got the hang of jumping he loved it! He would scream "jump, jump" over and over! He couldn't stop smiling and either could his parents! He went up and down the big slide and would say "sign" more after his turn. We will definitely be going back!

A big time in the bluebonnets

Harper Baron at 19.5 months

We had such a fun time playing in the bluebonnets with friends. It was extremely windy and very breezy.....notice Harper's hair.....no it is not Donald Trumps wig! We tried to capture a few pictures, but it is hard to do with 4 almost 2 year olds!
I was pregnant with all of their mommas and it is so fun to get together with our toddlers! These kiddos are all 4 weeks apart starting with Gentry born 6.9.07, Addy 7. 14.07, Cooper 7.17.o7, and Harper 8.14.07. A huge thanks to Cam for taking these pictures while I sneezed, sang, danced, moo-ed, and made silly faces......anything to merit a smile!

Easter Playdate

Not sure what to think of the chick

Our friends Aimee and Tyler had us over today for an Easter Play date. When we walked in they gave Harper a pair of bunny ears and showed us a very cool surprise. Aimee's mom had gone to a feed store and bought 3 baby chicks for the kids to look at, rather play with! These cool chicks were the hit of the party! Harper loved them! I thought about bringing one home, but Cam would probably kill me! I'm not sure how long these little guys are going to last after their fun with the kiddos today!

Aimee also hosted an Easter Egg Hunt at her parents cabin. They have the perfect yard for a hunt! This was our first time to "hunt" eggs and Harper is the perfect age for hunting. He ran to the eggs and would yell "open, open, open" and then devour whatever was inside. It was so cute to see him holding his Easter Basket. I can't wait for Sunday so we can do it again!

He was squealing the entire car ride home. Sugar overload!!!!!

So bummed the hunt is over, check out the chocolate on his shirt!

Aloha, Part 1

Cam and I got to go on a much needed vacation to Kauai, HI over "Spring Break!" (can I call it spring break??) A huge THANK YOU to my parents for letting Harper take a little vaca at their house for the week!! Our hotel

Cam and I flew out Tuesday morning and arrived in Hawaii 11 hours later! We met up with our friends Josh and Ashlee whom we met in Italy and hadn't seen since! Last time we hung out I was pregnant, and 9 months later they had Baby Hannah!

After landing in Hawaii we went straight to Hertz and rented our convertible Mustang aka Mustang Sally! (lovingly named after my mom) If you go to beautiful, sunny Hawaii you MUST get a convertible! It totally made the trip...Cruisin' was was much fun! We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Kauai. The accommodations were incredible! Unfortunately, we just slept at the hotel and spent 1 day at the pool/beach. There was so much that we wanted to do. The rest of the week was spent exploring the island. Thanks to our gps, Hertz never lost, (must get one of those) we were able to go everywhere. Here are a few of our highlights and a list of things to do if you ever find yourself on the island.

One night we had appetizers at Beach House and watched the sunset followed by fresh fish tacos at Keoki's Paradise. This place is way better than Berryhill and had live music!

Spouting Horn was a little overrated... it is a blowhole that spurts water in the air when water rushes under a lava shelf. There was a market located nearby that sold fresh water pearls so that was a plus!
Spouting Horn
We spend a whole day making our way to Waimea Canyon. We stopped along the way at local farmer's markets and purchased fresh fruit! We tried applebananas, tangelos, and rambutons! Delish!! (I want a garden!) We stopped at the State Park and hiked for about 2 hours in the midst of gigantic Sequoia trees.

Our friend Josh is a surfer! We spend several hours looking for the "surf." I had no idea how many conditions had to be present in order to surf. Here is a picture of Josh with his 4th board to rent......long story! On this particular day we watched him surf until sunset. Josh riding his "rip stick" with board in hand!

This is Hawaii's equivalent to a taco stand in Texas! We stopped in a little town on the west shore and had the BEST coconut shrimp!

One morning we got up at 5 am to watch the Baylor basketball game. So while Cam was cheering on the bears, I went and layed in the hammock and watched the sunrise. I need to do this more often.

There was a luau at the hotel and I got called up on stage to dance! So here are my blackmail pictures from Cam. Please notice what my partner is wearing!
