11 Months Old

Watch out! This month my little baby has definitely turned into a toddler! Today when I was on the phone with the doctor's office the nurse referred to Harper as my toddler!! Really?? Already! Well like each month that passes Harper grows and develops and simply amazes me! He has come so far in the last 11 months! He currently is crawling....well it's more like a wounded duck crawl! He crawls on one knee and drags the other leg. I think it's because he wants to be able to sit up quickly from the crawling position. It's absolutely adorable to watch! He's pretty fast considering he is a "tripod!" This post is going to be mostly pictures as I try to frantically pack for our trip to The Galapagos Islands in the morning!
Harper loves to swing and watching is his dogs. The other day he said "Axter" short for Baxter! I'm still waiting for him to say mom, but you can see what he loves! After every meal I put him on the floor and he crawls over to the back door and looks out at the dogs. He serious spends 3o minutes banging on the door! He is fascinated by the dogs. They amuse him and lick the door, I will never have clean doors!

Notice the grape on his head!!! Harper is eating mostly table food. He finally is branching out and eating more textured foods. He was rather picky until he got his two front teeth (on the top). He loves peaches, grapes, oranges, and apples. He likes veggies, but I think he's going to have a sweet tooth like his momma!

At the back door again!! This time on the fourth of July with his buddy, Caden.

New Hobbies include: Anything that is NOT intended for babies....... Fireplace utensils, light sockets, tools, peanuts, trash!!! AND standing up! Harper cruises the entire house! He can make a complete circle around our living room. I desperately need to buy a baby gate!
This month we have gone to LOTS of birthday partys. They are all so much fun. It is a fun way to spend our Saturdays as a family. At this Brooklyn's party the ice cream truck came, so Harper got to try a fudgesicle!

Sorry this is such a short and very slacker-like post, I am going to go back and edit it when I get back in town, but if you read this post please say a prayer for my mom and Harper. My parents are watching Harper this week and I know she is going to need extra energy to get through this week. I know she would never admit this, but it is a lot of work to take care of this little guy! Not to mention she gives him her undivided attention! My dad even snapped a picture of her in the baby gate with him!! I know he is in great hands, but I just want all to go well while we are away!
