Harper's 1st sleepover

This is the picture my dad emailed us to let us know they didn't "spoil" Harper!

Cam and I had a Christmas Party to go to on Friday night. It was officially our first night to go out alone and Harpers first time to spend the night away from mommy. I was really looking forward to a night out with friends and then a chance to SLEEP IN in the morning. Since I am still nursing I haven't been able to sleep past 8am in 4 months!

I was planning on dropping Harper off early so I could finish some Christmas shopping, but Harper got his first cold. I spent a lot of the morning on the phone with the nurse and then at Wal-mart buying everything she told me he needed......humidifier, dimetapp, simply saline, karo syrup, and a bulb syringe. Then I spent the rest of the day packing Harper's bag. I didn't realize how much he needed now that he had a cold and started rice cereal!

I dropped him off at Grammy and Poppy's house and didn't even cry. I knew he would be very well taken care of, and he was!
Here are some pictures of Cam and I at the "Dorkiest Sweater Party"

sorry I don't know how to rotate the pic!

4 months old

Harper is 4 months old. Each month I think it couldn't possibly get any better than this and.......it does! I love this stage! Harper smiles more than ever, everywhere we go people comment on his heart warming smiles. He is such a happy baby......I think it really has something to do with me reading Babywise four times! He coos and talks when he likes something. He is so strong too. He loves to be pulled up and stand on his own while you hold his hands. It seems like he is fascinated with all toys and puts everything in his mouth. My favorite part of the day is breakfast time. He started rice cereal and loves it. I can't get it to his mouth fast enough. Since he is eating more, his schedule has changed. He only eats 4 times a day..... Such a textbook baby!

Four Month Stats
-weight 13 lbs
-height 24 inches

Baby Aidan has arrived

My sweet friend and roomie from college, Bradi Redmon, just had a precious baby boy! Aidan Eugene Redmon (Eugene is a family name...I think she would want you to know that :)) was born on December 20th at 1:52 pm. He was 8 pounds 10 ounces and 19.5 inches long. I think Bradi and Lance are in love! We can't wait for Aidan and Harper to put on their camo and go hunting with their daddies! Here is a picture of the newest Redmon. Congratulations Bradi and Lance!

Santa Baby!

We went to Deerbrook Mall to have a special visit with Santa Clause. Harper sat on his lap and told him everything he wanted for Christmas.......More rice cereal, pacis, and a baby sister! ha ha, he won't be getting the latter anytime soon.

Look at me!

I put together Harper's Baby Einstein Play Gym today. Oh boy, he will be entertained for hours! He played in it for about 30 minutes before he got overstimulated. His little toes barely touched the bottom. He just kicked and cooed, it was so neat to see him explore and discover all the toys. Here are some pictures of him in this cool contraption!

Happy Birthday, Jesus

We had so much fun at the first annual Happy Birthday Jesus Party. Angela and Gentry hosted this party and it was so special. We were all talking about starting Christmas traditions with our children and this one is the first. Angela read The Christmas Story and gave each of the boys their very own copy. We sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and ate delicious chocolate birthday cake. The boys watched Baby Einstein Christmas while the mom's gabbed and ate chili. I have the best friends in the world. Harper is going to be so lucky to grow up with awesome friends. I know Cam and I are so blessed to raise children with some of the best. This has already been such a special baby's first Christmas!

Baby Dedication

Mommy, Daddy, & Harper

Last Sunday, The Heathcott family along with the Matthew, Dupuis, Holcomb, and Webb family dedicated ourselves to raise our children in a christian home. It was a very important day for us because Cam and I were both raised in a Christian home and eagerly want to teach Harper what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. Cam was dedicated at First Baptist Conroe twenty something years ago, so it really special to dedicate Harper at the same church. Our friends and family came to witness this special event.

Harper did pretty well during the service. It was susposed to be his nap time but I fed him right before church started so he'd be awake. He was awake but somehow between Sunday School and Church we lost his paci. He only likes a certain kind of paci and I didn't have a back up. I was frantically searching for it, and could only find the kind he wouldn't take. He looked out at the congregation while Cam held him. He spit out the unlikeable paci several times! After we sat back down and sweet man came up during the greeting and asked if we had lost a paci! That's all it took for Harper to sleep quietly through the rest of the service.

After many pictures with our friends, we treated our family and friends to Steak & Ale. Harper wanted nothing but to be in his own bed. He was pretty exhausted from the busy day and so were his parents!!
